Thoughts/Opinions: Doulas
I'm interested in the idea of a doula—someone (in addition to my SO) to be there with me through the entire labor and delivery at the hospital. I'd like feedback from other moms and moms-to-be!
Has anyone else been looking into this or plan on hiring a doula?
I know there is a range, but approximately how much do they cost? Is $1300 too much? Does insurance ever cover any of the cost?
If you've had an experience with a doula, what were your thoughts? Would you recommend it? How was she helpful? I'd love to hear from you!
