Question

I got my Mirena IUD out 7 weeks ago and still haven't had a period? Did anyone else have this? I want to be able to track my period so I'm not just testing all the time and getting negatives. How long should I wait to get my period before I go to the doctor??

I got mine out in Feb this year and it took me nearly 4 months to get into a normal cycle. After about 6 weeks of nothing it finally came and then nothing again for ages and then it slowly settled down. I think they say it usually takes a few months to settle into a regular cycle so I wouldn't stress about it too much. Fingers crossed it gets regular for you soon :)

Same boat! Got mine out last December. Felt nausea, hot flashes, dizzy and moodiness. Saw my doctor and she gave me medroxyprogesterone and I got a period. Then I got one like 63 days later, then 47 then 38. Now I'm on cycle day 50 with absolutely no period symptoms. I was prescribed medicine to give me a period if I don't get one for three months. Haven't had to take it yet. It's been almost a year and I've had like 5 periods on my own! None of them consistent cycle days but symptoms were sore boobs, moodiness, bloating, gas, hunger, thirst, peeing a lot and cramps two days before. Also my temperature didn't regulate for the first several months. I'd. Talk to your Doctor and give your body time to adjust like 6-9 months. We want to conceive without medicine right now but you can get prescribed clomid if you are more anxious.

As soon as I got my mirena taken out I bled a ton, and I mean a TON for 3 days strait. My first actual cycle after that was really short, like 20 days. After that they were really long cycles like 35 days but they eventually went back to my normal 28 day cycle after 6 months. I would talk to your doctor about not getting your period. I only had mine in for a year, but if you had it in longer it may take longer for your body to get back to normal.
