Help! Suggestions?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to effectively manage heartburn?? It's killing me! All day! Need something that works! 
I'm in the UK so not sure if we have different brands or products to the US...

I had to go on Zantac twice daily mine was so severe. I tried every natural remedy in the book but it was to the point that I could hardly eat a bite! It was a lifesaver for me, and my doc wrote a prescription so insurance covered it which was nice
