TRIGGER WARNING I was raped and police won't do anything

I went on a date last week, and I was a total dud. I wanted it to hurry up so I could go home... well afterwards he didn't take me home. He took me to his house which is like an hour and a half from mine so I couldn't walk. He said he would take me home later he just needed to go inside and invited me in. We were there for 45 minutes and he still wouldn't take me home. He then tried to kiss me and I pushed him away. He then tried to put his hands down my pants and that's when I got up and tried to run to the door. He pulled me by my hair and Took me to his bed. He held my arms and started to rape me. I just laid there and stopped trying to fight back because he was too strong for me. When he was finished he laid down and I got up with my clothes and ran to the bathroom. When I came out he was asleep so I stole his car and drove home. I told my mom everything that happened and she drive me straight to the police station at 2am. I told them everything that happened but the police man said I couldn't press charges because we went on a date and if I though it was rape why didn't I fight back. I had to do a rape test kit and that also concluded there was no evidence of rape. My mom and dad are got me an attorney and we are  suing the pd I just don't know what to do with myself now. I'm so suicidal it would all just be easier if I were dead
