Yes, for me lol, not for her. She likes it very dark. I can't see to pick her up if she wakes, and I don't necessarily want full brightness lights.

I use an amber salt lamp. Red lights don't disrupt the circadian rhythms like white light does so it's important for good sleep!

My baby monitor set has a lil nightlight on the baby receiver. It can turn on automatically when she cries, but I turned that feature off. If she wakes up in the middle of the night now, I turn that one on to see. It's right on the rail of her crib, so it's easy and has just the right amount of light to see her. If she needs a diaper change, I turn the nightlight that's on my wipes warmer on. My 7 month old girl likes it dark. When I did have the nightlight on automatic, I found that it wakes her up too much and she wanted to be awake and play more often.
