So I just wanted to share something. Mostly bc I can't believe it even happened. I've been having headaches since last thursday. Pretty ongoing and nothing is helping. I've been really nauseaous too, more than usual and in the middle of the night Sunday I woke up at 2:30 am and felt so sick. Ended up vomited. I said ok I'll go get checked out, make sure my blood pressure isn't high. I went to labor and delivery and my blood pressure was 117/72. Whew! I was there maybe 10 minutes and the dr comes in asking me questions then ends with, have you heard my blood pressure speech? I said no. So she told me about how women who have had high blood pressure previous to pregnancy and who've had higher bp before 20 weeks, are more likely to develop high blood pressure in their final weeks of pregnancy. She said, looking at your medical history with migraines, a few high blood pressure readings and you've had traces of protein in your urine, i think it'll be in yours and your baby's best interest to do the c section tonight. 😨 I look at my fiance in a panic and all wide eyed. She said, we'll do some blood work and see if we can get your head feeling better but let's refrain from eating anything and only drinking water since we have to wait about 6-8 hrs before a c section can be done. Then leaves and I'm just like whatttt??? 😨😭 noo I'm not ready, I still have another week. I didn't pack bags, I'd have to replan everything with my fiances work and with my 6 year old who's in school. Holy crap. Then the nurse comes in like 5 mins later and tell me I can eat and drink bc I'm not having the c section. Says it like the dr was crazy and she didn't know why she'd say that bc my blood pressure was fine, been fine for the last 2 months. And there was no protein in my urine and I wasn't swelling. So basically the dr freaked us out for no reason. I couldn't stop thinking "why the hell would she say that so matter of factly?? Ugh. So that was my night. Blood work was normal, still have a headache :/ but one more week until my c section and I'm excited. I hate drs lol.
