Is rape culture real?

I'm currently researching and writing a paper on rape culture for my gender studies class. It's a subject that I'm pretty passionate about. I'd like to hear some opinions on the topic, especially if you're one that doesn't believe that rape culture is a real thing. I believe strongly that it is, so I'm hoping to gain insight from the other side of the argument to eliminate a strong bias in my writing. Thank you!

I was told by police that they weren't going to charge my rapist because they don't like giving people criminal records at a young age (he was 16) and they basically said it wasn't rape because we were in a relationship. Out of every 100 rapes, 10 people will get charge, 20 (including the previous 10 will go to trail, and only 2 are falsely accused. That's 88 rapes where the rapist is allowed to walk around free. Why would people stop when the odds of anything happening about it are so low?

I think it's a thing to an extent but I think in general that it's taken way too far. It seems like people are becoming confused about what rape actually is and that's tragic because then it makes the real rape victims seem less credible, does that make sense? And it seems like girls, especially younger women, will cry rape over things that are not in fact rape. You can't say you were raped if you regret having sex after the fact and some women seem to think that they can. You can absolutely ruin someone's life by making false claims like that! I just think the whole idea of rape culture has convoluted the whole thing. Rape is black and white and sexual assault has very little gray, but it does naturally have some. But people have all of a sudden taken something pretty black and white and stuck in a bunch of gray and I think that's a problem.

Rape culture is absolutely real. People have started excusing the men (or women in some cases) and their actions and starting blaming the victim. 
It's gone from what a disgusting man to she shouldn't have been dressed like that or she shouldn't have been drunk or walking alone. 
Rapists are so easily excused now and the justice system is awful, particularly here in Australia. Rape culture is real. rape happens everyday. My rapist blamed me and said I should have expected it from a 19year old who is drunk. 
Instead of questioning the victim why not question why the rapist is so sick and twisted and why weren't they able to keep their hands to themselves. People who have never been raped never truly know the impact it has and can be the reason that people don't believe there is a such thing as rape culture.

People who voted no should go on rape/abuse support group and look for the poll that is asking if their abuser/rapist were charged and/or arrested and read ALL the stories of autorities denying the rape even with prove, girls being called liars by the judge, the detective trying to make the girl take the charges off. They would change their minds in one bit.

Because when I was sold for drugs from 4-11 the cops only wanted the names of the drug abusers. Nothing to do with those who raped a little girl.

Yes. Rape culture is real. I think you should focus on consent, what it is and what it isn't and who can legally consent in any given scenario because people need to understand that, just because you didn't come forward right away, just because you were dating at the time or, had dated, just because you had slept with several other guys before, just because you were drunk or, this this and this... it is still RAPE.

All the people who said no should go ask every woman they know to tell them honestly if they've ever been raped or sexually assaulted.

Once you find that the overwhelming majority says yes, then you might change your thought process.

As long as we have majorities of people not believing women who accuse a man of rape, then rape culture exists. As long as we have people thinking about a rapists potential future before we even think about what he put his victim through, rape culture exists there.
