My fiance and I live 900+ miles from any of his family for this reason. My MIL came to visit for the birth of our son and the only thing she has done since she has gotten here is stress us out. Day 1 went fine as she got here about 9 pm. Day 2 she got completely hammered drunk at our house and tried to pee in my kitchen sink.. 😑 Day 3 my fiance told her that if she was drunk in our house again she would have to leave. After that she has been rude the entire time and has been in this horrible mood playing the victim like we should feel bad for telling her not to get drunk in our house. She has a horrible history with drinking and it never turns out ok. My mom and I have been inviting her to come shopping and out to eat and she says no every single time and then an hour later she leaves to go shopping and go eat. She has been very rude to me and my side of the family.I try to talk to her and she won't say a word to me. It's super awkward as my fiance is at work and I'm Stuck at home with her. It got so bad today that my fiance had to leave work to come talk to her and tell her to stop, which she didn't. she was supposed to come here so we could all be together for our baby as it is a very special moment, but the only thing she has done so far is stress me out to the max and make me uncomfortable in my own home. She packed up her things and said she is leaving and took all the gifts that she bought for the baby. She does this every time something special or important is going on and I'm sick of it, we can never have a decent time as a family and it sucks.. I really don't want her here but I don't want to put my fiance in the position where he has to tell his own mother to leave because she is being ridiculous. I honestly don't care if she ever comes here again and my fiance agrees. I'm going CRAZY! I shouldn't have to worry about my 43 year old MIL when my due date is 3 days away. I really really don't even want her in the delivery room anymore..This is why we moved so far away. Idk what to do.... Just venting..
