Love Handles?

Question

Has anyone else got love handles during pregnancy? I've started to notice i'm hanging over the sides of my pants a bit. I was petite before I got pregnant, and I've been restricted to what I can and cannot eat so far (I have flare-ups from ibd). I eat as healthy as I can and I'm exercising a few times a week. I'm 15 weeks along. Am I getting them because the baby has no where to go?

(As a side note, I always had a hard time gaining weight before I was pregnant).

It's probably water retention, or if you're petite it's the baby pushing you sideways haha

Yup lol. I'm short and petite so baby is growing OUT. That means to the side, too! Putting my hands on my "hips" is really just symbolic at this point 😁  .

I have them slightly now. During pregnancy you may retain water, bloat, and have an extra amount of fat to protect the baby. It's nothing to worry about.

You're hanging over the side of your pants because your uterus has started coming out from behind your pelvis! It's a totally normal part of pregnancy and is an indication that maybe you should try some looser pants, or maternity clothes.

I guess technically they are love handles though since the baby overspill on your pants is the result of having made love 13-15 weeks ago!

Omg yes!! I have them too now 😩 I call them my baby food bags 😖
I've gained a little weight in my first trimester but not much since then. They seem to be coming out of nowhere
