I have been laboring now for almost 48 hours. The contractions have been anywhere from 5-20 min apart. They have been 5-10 min apart now for the last 8 hours, and lasting 1:30-2 min long. I'm in so much pain. I went to L&D last night because they were 3-7min apart but I was sent back home because I wasn't making any progress. They were not lasting 1:30-2 min when I went in last night. Should I go back or wait until they get closer???

Side note: I am 39 weeks 4 days and I have lost my mucus plug

I ended up going in because my contractions were unbearable. 5-8 min apart. They checked me and I was dilated to 5!🙌🏻  got the glorious epidural and I am currently at 7....hoping baby girl comes soon!!

Hi Hun I'm 7 days over and this has been happening to me for 5 days so far. Amy contractions go from being regular every 7 mins to nothing for like an hour then back to 20 mins apart then back 7 mins apart. Iv hardly had any sleep. Labour and delivery won't let me go in and say because it's my first this is all normal. Apparently it's called latent labour.

If I were you I'd just stay home until they are more regular and closer together as Hospital will send you home. I'm seeing my community midwife today, could you get in swith yours?
