(TMI) help with CM logging?

Since I've started birth control (5 or 6 months ago) I'm so dry down there 😩 don't get me wrong, I do get discharge in my panties (which tmi but since I've started the bc it has an awfully pungent smell). The issue is it's so dry to literally stick one finger up there to log my CM would hurt to basically point of tears. Thinking about it even makes me cringe. Any tips?
