Brown thin line around neck... expecting boy baby??

Question

Hi all, I am 27 weeks pregnant. From past 2 days, I am seeing a brown line( kinda like the linea nigra over stomach) over my neck. Today I can see one more thin dark line high up my neck.
Is this normal during pregnancy and how to cure it? I have heard old wife tales saying this happens when it's a baby boy inside. Anyone have birth to a baby girl??? I would love to have a baby girl...though I am fine with a boy too. :)

It's called hyperpigimentation which is the same thing that causes the linea nigra. It's all hormone related and has no insight as to sex of baby.  You can also get what's called a pregnancy mask.  Our skin does some funky crap while pregnant

It can happen to anyone. I've heard that it only happens to moms expecting baby girls, and I'm having a boy. I've had it for a month. It's not just a line for me, it's like my whole neck. A coworker of mine and one of my best friends had it when they were pregnant with their girls. It can happen with anyone.
