Pressured to go on birth control... should I do it?

I'm 3 months PP and my doctor is pressuring me to go on birth control. I'm 25 this was my second. I'm married and have a good career and own my own house. I wouldn't be devastated if I got pregnant again but I prefer only having 2 kids. I'm educated I know that condoms aren't 💯 but I do not like any forms of birth control mostly due to weight gain, I'm not willing to tie my tubes and hubby won't get a vasectomy. Am I wrong for not wanting to go on BC? Is it foolish to only use condoms? I feel like my doctor looks down on me for saying no...

You do not have to go on birth control AT ALL if you don't want to. But if the only reason is weight gain, wouldn't you gain more weight from an accidental pregnancy? Also, there are different forms of BC that rarely cause weight gain. Or you could try it and if you gain weight, then stop. However it's completely your choice and no one else's.

I was pressured to get on birth control after I had my first baby 6 yrs ago. They said I Had to get on birth control and they take me 3 choices. They said I had to choose one. I choose the iud. I didn't know any better I was 19. I really thought I had to be on it. The iud messed me up. I ended up getting it taken out a yr later bc I was constantly bleeding from it. I will never be on birth control again. I just had my second baby 6 months ago. Don't let the doctor pressure you into it like mine did. It's your right. Your body.

U can do whatever u want girl ! If u only want 2 but ur fine with having another one then i dont see whats the problem , ur doc cant force u to do anything

My husband and I have been using condoms only for almost ten years - we use them religiously, every time, according to the directions. We have one baby who was planned, so condoms alone have worked really well for us.

I never went back on BC after having my first child. I prevented and conceived my subsequent children perfectly. No accidents. I did track my cycles carefully, checked my cervix, checked my CM... we did use withdrawal sometimes during my fertile time. That being said, we would have been fine with another baby if it had been an oops. I also tied my tubes after my third child. Carefree sex without consequences is certainly where it's at. Loving it.

I think there is no harm in trying it to see how you do with it. You can always tell your doctor you have tried it and it's not for you. But you may also find that it works fine with your body and you don't have side affects or any weight gain. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You never really know how it will be for you specifically. But in the end do what you feel comfortable doing. Don't let your doctor make you feel like you should do something that you think isn't what's best for you. Their job is your health, not to force their opinions on you. Good luck with everything❤️️

I mean I don't see the issue. I haven't been on birth control for a year, I track my cycle as if I'm TTC. We only use condoms near and during my fertile window. No baby here. 
The good parts about that, for the first time since I was 13-14 I have 28 day cycles. My periods have returned to normal again and it's satisfying. So when I do start TTC If ever, I know that it's actually possible for me to have a 28 day cycle. Therefore I'll have a smaller window to look for ovulation, unlike my past 46-60 day cycles know I'm normal now 😂👏🏻 my insides work

If hormones are your concern, You could go on a non-hormonal iud. But it's up to you
