cracked tooth in 1st trimester

I cracked my molar on a large seed I found in my salad last night & it hurts. This is my first pregnancy and I'm only at 6 w 3 d :-( I heard I should wait until my 2nd trimester to get it taken care of but that's a long way away and it's dangerous to just wait because it could get infected/worse. Any suggestions or anyone in the dental industry that can please give me advice?
