Where To Find CNM

Question

How do you go about finding a Midwife? 
Seeing im a first time mom and pretty much raised by men im not sure how this whole thing works. Im 4 months now so im pretty sure i need to look into finding a permanent doctor and getting an ultrasound but i have no idea how to go about it. 
I've just recently after finding out im pregnant got insurance and had two check ups so far no ultrasound because they say my blood work is good and have no reason to think anything is wrong with my baby. If it means anything i currently live in Illinois.

I am in MA, so it's probably a bit different here. I looked for a birth center (a stand alone one rather than a hospital ward... I didn't know there was a difference at first!) because I knew I wanted a midwife and I knew I didn't want to be in a hospital for my birth.

If you look online, some states have a midwife association and they might be willing to point you in the right direction as well.

You can also use an OBGYN, which are commonly found at hospitals.
