im really confused about my vagina

Ive had my period for almost 2 years now, i got it when i was 15. My period was irregular, which was probably normal. After a year it still never balanced out. My period is always irregular. I didnt have my period for 3 months from may to july.  I got it every month after that, again changing a few times. Now this month i havent gotten it again. My period flow is usually heavy. Im scared to wear tampons bc it will bleed through in an hour. Ive always been getting a lot of discharge usually white sometimes clear. its always smells bad? I dont know if its gotten worse over time or not but its a really gross smell i cant stand it. I dont know if there is something wrong with me. I have gotten few utis before, they have gotten treated. But i dont l think it has to do with my period or the discharge? Please help
