A little for the circumcision, a little if baby has sensitive skin on his or her bottom.

I used it as diaper cream every time I changed my babies diaper. It's more gentle and keeps the diaper from irritating their skin.

Diaper rash, for sure. The zinc rash creams never seemed to do much good for my baby, but the petroleum jelly soothes it and clears it right up. Even a huge rash from a food sensitivity was gone in a couple days.

I don't recall using any during infancy. I've only used it on my daughter's extremely dry nose during winter colds.
