Night crying, what's wrong?

So my 1 month old for the past 4 nights has been crying none stop. He has his days and nights mixed up so during the day he's asleep mostly bit when he is awake he's very happy, no crying. But once he's awake for his long stretch, which is around 5-6 hours he just wants to eat and cry. He's not colic, he burps and passes gas just fine all day, no teeth coming in what could it be?

It's a wonder week! Infants make a huge mental leap around 4-5 weeks and it makes them fussy, clingy, and extra needy.

I'm having the same problem!! Same time every night my baby becomes a monster. I was honestly just coming on here to post something similar. I think they call it the witching hour(s)... she's an angel during the day when she's awake but every night at 7 she cries on and off for hours. I have no idea what to do

Could be getting overtired. If mine is up more than 2 hours in a row she cries a lot because she can't get to sleep

Being awake for 5-6 hours at a time is way too long. They shouldn't be up for more than an hour at 4 weeks old. This will make them overtired and then they have a harder time sleeping. Try more frequent naps through the day and that should help the nighttime fussiness.

I feel your pain! 4 week old daughter is the same for the last few days she becomes a monster all night. We are exhausted

We just went thru that last week at 5 and a half weeks. Sleepless nights and lots of feeding. I chalked it up to a growth spurt because we're almost at our usual 4 hour feeding stretches at night again.
