Doc Band babies

My son was diagnosed wit moderate to severe plagiocephaly. Which is just a fancy word for Flat head. We noticed it when he was about 3 months old. We went to the pediatrician and were told to reposition him frequently and to do lots of tummy time and were sent home with some stretches for my sons neck since he seemed to favor his left side. They said he had torticolis which is tightening of the neck muscle. We were referred to Children's Hospital to see the craniofacial dept. Once seen there we were given a prescription for helmet therapy because it was determined that the flat spot wouldn't correct itself. We found Cranial Technologies who is making our sons doc band. He will be getting it on 12/2. My question is if there are any other little ones wearing a helmet? Do you have any advice for a newbie?
