baby sleeping bags!

Hey this may be a stupid question but I'm looking into baby sleeping bags for nighttime and was wondering how they worked... like does baby wear a babygrow and vest still or do they just wears a nappy?? Or does it depend on the type of sleeping bag? Thank you xx
