what is preferable after an occasional drink? pump and dump or just wait out the designated time

I am confused as to what is to be done after u have had a drink.all the guidelines I have read said wait for the designated time according to your weight and the amount you have consumed and then it's safe to feed the baby no need to pump and dump.what do you say?

Everyone is correct (from what I've read). If you can drive you can still feed baby. Only 2% of alcohol enters your breastmilk. What I did on Thanksgiving was pump and then had a drink and pumped again 2 hours later. They say 2 hours after there shouldn't be any alcohol in your milk. No way I'm dumping out this liquid gold lol

The NUMBER ONE RULE they stress about breastfeeding and drinking is:  BE SAFE.  
If you aren't too passed out drunk to feed the baby, it won't adversely affect the baby if you have an occasional drink.  
But if you aren't being safe, get drunk, drive and become incapacitated, who's going to take care of baby?  That is the bigger concern.

i only drink if i prepared a bottle b4 & after 1 drink i just wait it out 4 hours and after two i pump and dump and then wait 3,4 hours.

Dumping milk is a waste. It won't clear the alcohol out for you to be able to feed. If you're able to drive you're able to feed.
