How did you tell your DH about BFP??

Question

Im haven't gotten my BFP yet, but I'm just curious how you ladies shared the news with your DH. I'm nervous thinking about it! I want it to be special. Share your stories! :)

My husband has been gone for a week. I took an hpt the day after he left! He comes home tomorrow. I'm going to try to hold out until Father's Day and put this picture of our son in his card.....hope I can do it! Or that he doesn't ask me as soon as he gets home! We have been ttc for 17 months and doing fertility treatments! :) so happy! ​

I'm an astrophysicist, so I gave DH a mathematical proof. He loved it.

With our son, I didn't tell him I was going to test, even though I was 8 days late. It was 9pm and within seconds of me peeing on the stick I got a definite positive! Hubby was on the other side of the house and I yelled for him. He came running into the bathroom thinking I was hurt or something and I just handed him the test and asked him what he saw. He said two lines what's that mean? I smiled at him and said it means were having a baby! With this pregnancy, I wasn't even going to test but glow told me I should (2 days before af due) and so dh and I got 4 cheapo tests. At first the line was so light it looked like a bfn but then it appeared! It wasn't dark but it was there! Had dh look to confirm that I wasn't crazy lol

Well with the first I called him at work and asked if he could talk.  He said he was busy.  So I told him I was pregnant calmly and said to call me when he was free. I hung up.... Lol.  Needless to say he called right back.  With our second he suspected before me and I went to doctor to confirm.  No real surprise.  Ttc our third however I think I will take him to dinner and have them do something special.  Maybe order three desserts and have them write in chocolate sauce congrats or something else.  It would be an awesome Father's Day gift.

Second was a surprise and we hadn't been together that long and wouldn't answer is phone so it was a text. #3 i told him as he woke up was another surprise(ended in a miscarriage) #4 he was there at the door waiting for the result now 5w

With my first, I found out a few days before Father's Day, so I bought him a Father's Day card and signed it "from baby". He was shocked but ecstatic.

I'm making a crocheted soother clip and attach a soother, going to get a little box from the dollar store and take a pic of the positive test and wrap it all up like a nice little present :)

I drove my husband nuts for two days saying my period was late. Finally when he went to work I took a test. Then before I went to pick him up I got a ballon that said congratulations and a card that said "your expecting a little pea pod". At first he was like congrats for what?

I had it planned a special way but he was off work that day and I got up early that morning to my two year old so I took a test and there it was a bfp! So I woke him up (6:30am) and showed him. He couldn't stop smiling

With the first BFP I had to wait because he was working away but when he walked thru the door I walked out and smiled at him! He new instantly! 2nd BFP I went to the bathroom and shouted him upstairs! He was in such shock he made me do another infront of him! X
