Tampon Help!

I'm 22 years old & I've never used tampons. I bought a pack of pads one day and it had a 3 pack box of tampons on it 3 different sizes . I legit attempted to practice with all 3 & I had no luck . I'm also a virgin maybe that does or doesn't have anything to do with it but I never have anything up there not even fingers. So I guess it makes me a little nervous. Any tips on how to insert a tampon or and of your own personal experiences? Also what brands or sizes do yall prefer or recommend?
