Why am I so scared to have sex with my boyfriend?

I've had one night stands, pretty good ones. I've had sober sex with a fwb. But I'm finally in a relationship (first one) and we've done everything except from sex. Every time we say we'll do it, we both shy away. And his hard on goes down and I'm scared. Why is this??? Like I love sex, why am I being like this?
