period or not a period

Had a few thoughts that I was pregnant but left it down to imagination, started period about an hour or go was wiping and saw a little bit of blood but on a pad but hardly anything which is so unlike me. I'm not saying anything cos it's likely to go normal soon but has anyone been pregnant and when there period came they just spotted?
