Getting an IUD?

Hi ladies 💘 So Im due for a gyno appt next week to get a hormonal IUD (mirena). Does anyone here have one? Im definitely excited for the possibility of a shortened/lighter/absent period, but not so excited about the potential irregularity 😐 I also am really nervous about the pain upon insertion!! Anyway, do any of you have it and what has been your experience so far? Thanks everyone!! 💞💞
