What do you think makes someone mature? Most people think it's your age, and others think that's it certain characteristics and actions you do. Please try not to be too vague

I think it's a combo of age, knowledge, life experience, and self discipline. I'm 26 and still learning.

I feel maturity depends on your ability to be self sufficient. Including emotionally as well.

In my opinion, maturity has everything to do with emotional intelligence.

It's a number of things. Age is honestly a factor because you learn from experiences and because you enter new stages in life if you're progressing as expected that is. (So age and experience) also, your mindset and the way that you react to things is an important factor. You have to learn to see beyond yourself and beyond just this moment in time so that you make smarter decisions. Learning to take care of yourself  and be independent is also an important part of maturing. (Grooming, staying healthy, setting goals, learning to manage money, getting a steady job and paying for your own needs and getting your own place)

It's really a combination of things. How you react in certain situations, your behavior, general intelligence. It's a bit hard to explain. I know a lot of people- specifically teenage girls- who think that they are mature for their age, when in reality, they are clueless and ignorant.

For me it's all in the reactions? to good and bad? if you can handle it sensibly .. I think that's mature!
