Adult diapers after giving birth?

After this question you clearly know I've never given birth lol but I am curious as to why women need diapers after they've given birth. I had no idea this was even a thing until I saw something on facebook about it

Basically a woman bleeds a lot after giving birth. The adult diapers are because a regular pad just isn't enough usually.

I got the depends pads.  They were wonderful!

I bought the thin adult Depends for after birth. I have heard so many women swear by them because of the sheer amount of bleeding and mucus and even bladder leakage after birth.

I used them plus the gigantic pads they give you lol. It was so much easier for the first week or so with the bleeding no ruined underwear etc. I only used them for bleeding purposes ..

Never had a kid either but my friend just did and she said they saved her life. So I guess it's just a matter of preference.
