My baby wants to sleep with me all the time!

Hello everybody I am a new mother to a 6 week beauty. I'm going crazy because he only wants to sleep with me. I am breastfeeding him so I've read multiple times that this can be one of the reasons why he is so attached to me. I really don't have the heart for the "cry out" method. I've been trying other things but he only sleeps 30min or an hour and wakes up crying. When he sleeps with me he sleeps 3 to 4 hours straight. I need advise from mommies :D
