Do you think it's easier to get pregnant when you are not trying?

Three years ago, when I was taking birth control pills, I got pregnant with my daughter. ( Obviously not trying)

She's two now, and we've been trying for baby #2. I haven't pee'd on so many (ovulation and pregnancy tests) sticks in my life.

My husband and I were "not trying" for over a year and I never got pregnant. Once we decided to really try to have a baby, I found out I was pregnant within 2 months.

I tried for 18 months consciously and then gave up and then bam, BFP straight away

My hubby and i were trying for 2 yrs and nothing. Now we r saying that its whatsever. Idk if im able to get preg...my periods have been off lately and thats prob whats causing me not to. Have dr appt today. Idk if i want another baby seeing as our boys are 12 and 13.

It only seems easier! When your ttc it takes over your being! It's all you ever think about so of course those months on end with negative tests get hard! But if you weren't trying it's not on your mind so those months are just months lol

My family and friends suggest to "just do our thing" and not "try" and it'll happen when it's time. I hate hearing it, but we're giving it a shot lol. We've been trying since June of last year after our miscarriage, and I have to say the same as the girl before me, I am shocked by the amount of pregnancy test and ovulation kits I've bought, hahaha.
