BF moms: How soon after PP did menses return?

Question

BF moms (nursing or pumping), how soon after giving birth did your regular cycle return? And if while still BF, during your cycle did you notice a supply drop, or unwillingness from LO to take breastmilk due to hormonal changes?

3 baby's. Exclusively breastfed the first 2 for a year each. Third baby is 9.5 months and we are going strong still.

With my first born - cycle returned at 8 weeks
Second - cycle returned at 12 weeks
Third - cycle returned at 4.5 months

Everyone is different. You just don't know.

Yes it's normal for supply to dip during mensus. Drink a lot of water and it will go back up. Avoid nasal decongestants and allergy meds that dry up ducts, because they can't tell the difference between your nose and your breasts and will impact supply. Pump when you are away from your baby.

She's not even 3 months yet and I just started my period. Ugh. Six weeks of bleeding and not a very long break. She's ebf, but I've pumped 3 times in the past two weeks.

I'm 6 months PP and still nothing! I'm breastfeeding, but haven't had to nurse/pump during the night in a few months (which they say cutting this will bring it back faster) so who knows when it's coming back!

12 weeks 3 days pp I got mine. No noticeable drop in supply and baby nursed as usual.

21 months with my first! And that was only because I was actively trying to get a period and cut down to one nursing a day.

My second baby was born in August and I thought I had a period in October, but it was only 1 day of really light spotting and hasn't happened since- so it was either still lochia or a super light period that stopped again (my baby was sleeping 6-8 hours at night but now is up every 2 hours!!)
