Looking to hear others experience with Clomid

So I have 1 child already. (Took 4 years to conceive naturally) this time around it has been over a year and a half. I get my periods regularly. I started ovulation texts 2 months ago and had gotten positive test. When to the Dr to see what we could do to help and he said that he thinks I could really benefit from starting clomid. Anybody else with the same background try clomid? What was your experience like?
