Any Military Wives out there??

My bf and I have been in a long distance relationship for 5 months now and it's been going amazing. We finally met for the first time recently and we still text 24/7. But he's going into the Navy and he leaves for basic training in 5 days. I've kind of made my peace that he's going to come back to me but wow, am I really not ready to be "alone" again. I'm gonna be picking up a couple jobs to keep myself occupied but is there anything else I can do? I'm also curious on what I should put in letters when I write to him, bc I'm kinda bad at thinking before I speak. Any other advice you wanna throw in is more than welcome ❤

hey girlie! i'm engaged to a guy in the air force. he has only been deployed once while we were together, and yes it was awful but he still came home and loved me just the same if not more. the best thing you can do is send him pictures of you and his family and yours. always remind him of how much you love him and how much you miss him and can't wait for him to come home. that's what i did! it's always hard when they're away, just keep yourself busy with work or school or family and friends. it'll make the time go by faster. just don't think about it too much!

Definitely write everything!! You don't need to think before you write even if it doesn't make sense!! It's my fiancés favorite part of the day reading my rambling letters lol!! Also always keep your phone on and if he's active duty I suggest letting your bosses know because they might allow you to take a call from him if you get one while working!! However only do that if hes overseas or on active duty!! Basic and AIT don't do that you can handle one missed call in six months

I've been with my BF for 5 years now! Love him lots. He's in the Air Force. If you are meant to be then it'll all work pit, but long distance is never easy. If you both put effort, you will be just fine ☺️

Ok baby girl. My boyfriend graduates from navy basic in a few days. The best thing to do is just keep praying, keep loving, keep writing. Don't lose hope. Don't flirt. Don't do anything to jeopardize this. He will need you as much as you need him. Just keep writing. He will most likely get emailing and call privileges depending on how well his division does. It will be ok. Just surround yourself with different distractions and keep friends and family close.

I'm an Army fiancé ❤️️ we met before the military and we were from different towns so we've always had a long distance relationship. Going on our 2nd year, actually is 2 years and 7 months since he asked me out. I'm not sure how the Navy is exactly but our main form of communication was letters. I wrote him almost every night. And it helps them if you spray some perfume on the letters. Well it helped my fiancé and one of his buddies.

My boyfriend is also in the Navy. I met him while he was stationed near my school and we found out he was getting moved to Texas but at that point we had already fallen for eachother so we decided to stick by eachother side. He only left about 3 weeks ago but hes  in training right now so we don't get to talk much. Best advice I could give is just keep yourself busy and always make sure he knows how much he means to you. Also keep your ringer on! Especially during boot camp or deployments.  My brother is also in the military and during boot camp and deployment I didn't care what was going on I always kept my ringer on waiting for those calls cause they are so rare but amazing. Hanging out with both of yalls family helps out a lot. My husband just got done with Basic and he is in A.I.T training now. He texts me at night and calls to say goodnight. He is coming home soon for the holidays. And it doesn't really matter what you write just tell him about your day no matter if it was normal to you. It may not seem like a lot to you but it means a lot to them and they need something to keep them busy when they are just sitting in there barracks at night. (Wells that what he told me when he got his 5 minute phone calls during basic)
