Do you wake your baby to feed at night?

My baby is 3 weeks today and if a wake her a night to eat she spits up, what seems like everything she ate. Her last feeding before we go to bed is at 10pm. She will sometimes wake me around 12 or 2 to eat -- but most of the time it seems like she would sleep all night if I let her.

Wow I just have a different type of baby cause he don't miss a BEAT! He wakes up from hr-hr30 for feedings ! 1 month on Monday hoping these cluster feeds let up soon I'm exhausted.

Is she gaining weight appropriately? If so, you can probably stretch the nighttime feeding out since she's doing enough eating the rest of the day. she'll wake when she's hungry (and she'll have another growth spurt soon ).

I was told to wake them every 3-4 hrs at night until they gain there birth weight back then let them sleep as long as they want.

I've haven't had to wake my daughter yet. She's like clockwork when it comes to feeding. Every 2-3 hours she eats and if she's sleeping she will wake up to eat on her own. The longest she has went was 4 hours and she woke up on her own then too. Her pediatrician told me to wake her if it's been longer than 4 hours.

I do every 3 hours during the day or else my breasts leak like crazy. At night she usually wakes up about every 2-3 hours on her own so I don't bother.

My daughter is 3 weeks old also and now sleeps through the night. DO NOT wake your baby lol. Let your baby sleep, and get your sleep! Last night my baby slept from 1am-9:15am!! It was great! She is so much happier when I don't wake her to eat. Baby will let you know when they are hungry, they won't starve.

Mine is 5 weeks old now. I only let him sleep one long stretch of 5 hours.
At 3 weeks I was still waking him, as I found he usually gets more gas due to eating faster than if I had woken him before.

I do 2-3 hrs during the day but 3-4 during our sleeping hours. If he doesn't wake me I automatically wake and I'll change his diaper and that wakes him just enough to to latch to the boob and I just rub his cheek and it keeps him eating for just a bit!

At my son's 2 week appointment, his Dr told me to wake him every 3 hours to feed during the day, but at night let him sleep. She said she never wakes a sleeping baby at night. LOL! My son wakes every 3 hours on his own though...I'd love if he slept a little longer at night.
