Well-meaning grandparents who smoke....

Le
Hi! I'm a FTM (36weeks) and I'm excited and grateful that my parents have offered to help take care of our baby as soon as she is born. However my dad is a smoker and although he is not planning to smoke around the baby, research shows that "third-hand smoke" may also cause health issues due to chemicals sticking on clothes, etc. I know it's not easy to quit a habit but I requested for him to stop anyway for the sake of our baby and I don't think it's gonna happen in time. Am I overreacting?
P.S. They also come from the old school way of thinking that exposing baby to germs early will be better for baby so we shouldn't worry too much about her getting sick from visitors who want to visit, etc. I'm getting annoyed. I just want baby to be healthy ya know?
