12 weeks= 3 months? or the date baby was born every month?

so i'm confused. app says baby is 12 weeks which i assume is 3 months. but my friend said since my baby was born on the 16th of the month that every 16th is when i add a month. so baby turned 12 weeks on the 9th is that when he is considered 3 months or is it on the 16th?

The date born each month is when baby a month. You don't celebrate a birthday every 48 weeks.

My little One was born on the 16th as well. 12 weeks and 3 months is not the same thing. There are 4.3 weeks in a month. So your weeks will never coinside with the months.

Weeks and months are different types of measures, like metric and standard. I use both. LO is 12 weeks today and will be three months next Sunday.

Weeks measurement is more for your medical team, as it is a more precise measurement of their age than months (since the days/weeks in a month vary). 4 weeks does not necessarily equal a month. Use months for your purposes.
