if you measure ahead??

I'm measuring about a week ahead. Should I expect baby to come about a week early? This is so confusing 😬

My last pregnancy I measured 2 weeks ahead most of the time. Baby came at 40w1d. I ended up having a lot of amniotic fluid.

Following I'm measuring ahead too at my 12 week scan she was 6 days ahead now she's measuring big I've got a scan Friday to see where she's at maybe my dates have just been wrong from the start

No it doesn't mean that at all. One week ahead is actually consider right in the mark at 30 weeks to be considered normal range you should measure between 28-32. It either means baby is lying more stretched out of you have a lil more fluid. If you measure less then this your baby is on the smaller range or I don't have enough fluid and if you measuring bigger then this then.baby is a bigger then average or you are carry a lot more fluid. My first and second babies measured a week ahead every visit n came out 7pound both overdue by 2 days and 5day my third measured 2 weeks ahead and came out 9pound 9days overdue. So don't think too much into.it. Hope this has made sense n helped

My little one has measured about a week ahead at all of our appointments and ultrasounds but doc said that he won't change our due date because the first dating is the most accurate.  Guess we will see what happens 😊

No. It's just a guess and usually isn't very accurate. You could just have more amniotic fluid than normal or if you're having an ultrasound, baby might just have a growth spurt and it will all even out in the end.
