Protection after baby??

They say it's really easy to get pregnant right after you have your baby. I know they say wait six weeks an everything. I'm just wondering what's a good way to prevent baby #2 until we are ready for another. ?? We both hate condoms so he are hoping to figure something else out.?? We just used to pull out for 3 years an be for that we used condoms but I hated it an we when started trying we got pregnant within 3 months. How do y'all prevent?
