Doppler. yay or nay???

Question

I would like to get a Doppler but hubby isn't sure it's safe. I haven't asked my doctor yet. We go back on the 27th. What is your thoughts. I'm constantly worried about If everything. Is ok. Think it might give me some peace of mind.

I have one and I like it. I don't know why it wouldn't be safe. The only thing is if you can't find the heartbeat you will start to worry. It definetly takes time to get used to using.

I got one. Only use it 1-2 times a mo. My dr does hers at every visit also. It personally makes me feel better & I love listening to it 💘. Never had trouble finding her ❤️ either.

I want to get one as well, but u wouldn't freak if I couldn't find the heartbeat...I'd try a few times before giving up

At my sixteen week appointment my ob actually asked if I had gotten a Doppler yet while he was finding my baby's heartbeat. They're safe. And good to have for peace of mind! I'm now 27 weeks, and I love using mine...especially when she is being lazy and not moving as much. I will say though LOOK UP TUTORIALS!! Learn the difference between baby's heartbeat and you're! When I first got mine at 20 weeks, I couldn't find her heartbeat (i also had no gel) and made a post about it on here! Luckily the nice ladies on this app told me the same thing I'm telling you how! Oh! Gel is super cheap online. You can also use lotion, KY, and aloe vera gel. Sorry for the long ass comment lol

Personally, I think it might cause more worry if you have a hard time finding the heartbeat! The doctor with check with every appointment, and soon you will feel lots of movements that are reassuring!

They are really loud for bubs and can cause headaches for them, but it's not life threatening. It's fine if it's only used for short periods of time. I used one every day until 12 weeks when I started feeling little movements. Being my 4th pregnancy after 3 miscarriages the stress of not using it would have done more harm then using it.

They are safe. I had to explain this to my mother in law who flipped shit when I said I wanted one. I didn't end up getting one but for my next pregnancy I will.
