jealous boyfriend

So I have a really close family and my family is quite wealthy and my boyfriend gets very jealous because his family isn't as close or as wealthy. Whenever I go out with my family or even go to an event he gets very jealous and upset, which results in an argument. I feel like I can't tell him how my day went or anything anymore because he would get jealous. He makes me feel bad whenever I go see my grandparents or hangout with my family and tells me his "life is shit" and mine is "perfect". I don't know what to do, help please ?
