My lover won't fight for me

I've been dating this guy for two months. It started of as just fun but we have bonded and became exclusive. Thing is he is always busy and I always have to initiate a meeting. He isn't financially stable and we have never gone out on a date or courted and I feel neglected. I called him last week when I locked my daughter and I out of the house. He was around the corner but didn't order to come and help me. I was so hurt I broke it off. He called once and I tried to explain but I don't think he understood. I told him not to call me again unless he wanted to man up, meet face to face and resolve the problem. He didn't reply or call. Three days later, I called him and said come and get your stuff. He acted like he didn't know why I was saying that. After trying to explain again I ended the call. He just messaged me saying ok. He isn't even trying to fight or our relationship. But I miss him terribly, I have been so happy these two months we have been together and his smile lights up my heart. And its the best sex I have ever had. I don't know what to do, I just want him to say sorry and give me more time and attention. Understand me needs better :((
