Hawaiian/Polynesian baby boy names?

Mercedes
I'm not sure how many Polynesians are using this app, but I am Hawaiian and usually the grandmother gives your child their middle name. As tradition, my grandmother will be giving my son his middle name BUT I need help on finding a meaningful first name? Any suggestions???? My fiancé and are I willing to explore outside of Polynesian first names we would just like to pick a name that holds meaning to it.

Aww that's awesome, my bf's mom wanted to name him that but his dad wanted to name him Anthony instead, so the bf decided to name our son what his mom wanted to name him.

My baby is part Samoan so we are thinking Alesana for a boy... out of interest what were your girl name ideas before you found out you were having a boy? I don't know what I'm having yet but really want a pasifika name too :)

My boyfriend is Hawaiian and I've been living there for 4 years. If we had a boy, I was looking at:Nakoa Koali'iKa'eoKeakaI didn't want to do an overused name like Kai or Kawika or Kimo lol
