negatives tests and no periods

My husband and I have been using condoms for a few months now after bad rounds with hormonal bc. Last month my period was late and all I did was have brown spotting for a week. I took a negative pregnancy test after my period was due. This month I haven't had a period at all and I'm 3 days late according to the apps and took another negative pregnancy test. Can't tell if my symptoms are PMS or pregnancy. Should I trust two negative tests??
