cyclothymia
Does anyone here have this, or know anyone who does?
I've seen two doctors recently. The first told me he suspected I had cyclothymia. That was after a long talk.
I had to go to a different doctor a few weeks later. She read the notes and asked if I understood what it was. I said I had read up on it a bit, as I was new to the word. She then accused me of looking for a diagnosis, and told me it's all in my head and that I'm just being dramatic.
Now I don't know. I'm afraid to go to another doctor and prompt them with it, as then they will think I've just been playing on WebMD.
About me: 30 years old. I've always been moody, but my moods have been much more extreme recently. High highs and low lows.
Family history of depression and bipolar disorder.
