"generic" BC / mood swings?

Has anyone experienced heighted mood swings and/or depression from taking the pill? I was fine until recently, when my pharmacy switched me to the "generic" form of whatever brand I was taking before (apparently insurance only covers the absolute cheapest drug they can give you and I can't afford to pay $60 a month for the brand I used to take that used to be free). This is my second month on this new brand and it's like my PMS hasn't stopped.
