If you have sex while on your period will you get an infection or anything?

Me and my husband have done it plenty of times. If i feel like it's too heavy we get in the shower. I'm on the implanon and have had it for almost 3 years now so we don't use condoms.  Unless of course I'm uncomfortable with how heavy my period is. But if your just dating and your guy hasn't been tested then definitely use a condom. My doctor did say your more open to STDs while on your period. Don't know why lol. Hope this helps. Oh and a major perk is it takes away all your cramps😉 especially with a great orgasam 💦💦

It's not bad. You are at an increased risk for stds though based on what I've read about it, so be safe, beautiful. I'd suggest using a condom if you're not sure about whether a guy has something or not at any time, but especially on your period.
