am I to young?

The guy I'm dating is great, and I really care about him. He's very mature and has everything planned out and I really enjoy being with him, his maturity is the same but his age is not he's a couple years older than me 3 and it won't be a big deal in the future I know but at the age I am I'm getting a lot of hate about it. I'm 14 he's 17 and we both want a long term relationship. I kind of just want opinions on this idk what to say to other people or think because I'm young, but I am very mature for my age, I have a plan and am ahead in school. Mentally I'm so much older but I'm still young and at our age I don't know what to think

Your vaginal tissues aren't finished developing until around 17. It's really better to wait until then. You can interfere with the tissue development which could make sex more difficult later on. Also there's a lot of emotional baggage that comes with having sex, I didn't think there would be for me but there was. And on a psychological viewpoint there is a huge difference between a 14 year old and a 17 year old. But as you said, later it won't seem like that  much. I would definitely say wait a bit.

I don't think it's the gap so much as your age. In a lot of states it's illegal for someone 17 or older to date anyone younger. But if you think you know his intentions are in the right place and you want to be with him, who are we to tell you otherwise? In a few years the gap won't matter at all. I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 31 and we have an amazing relationship.

In cases like that when you're young and there's an age gap, I'd just say wait until you're legal to have sex. You don't want to get him in trouble. But a relationship in general should be fine as long as the gentiatals stick to themselves.

I am a 19 year old dating a 26 year old guy. Honestly, I've never been more happy I have dated a few guys my age but never connected with any of them and always found them immature. If you are happy then don't let anyone tell you it's "weird" or you're "not ready." It gets easier!

I was just 16 when I met my ex. He was turning 19. We lasted 2 1/2 years. When I was 16 I thought he was so mature and had everything planned out. He was a great first loved but I started growing up and planning.  I then realized he wasn't the mature one. I was. Age gaps are good and important to have so you can find where your maturity lies. (: this comment isn't meant to be negative. It was the funniest reliationship I've had yet.

no. i dated a guy who was 18 when i was 14 and we lasted long. he went to university way to far. i dunno why you are getting hate bc it a normal relationship and age gap. me and my current bf differ with 3 years
