IS IT TIME YET?!

My dr said he would induce me at 39 weeks (do to personal reasons) but only if my cervix is showing progress... My ob checked me last week and I am not dilated at all, I'm not even thinning!!!! Please if anyone knows healthy safe ways to maybe give my cervix a little push to thinning out some that would help ALOT!!!!! I have the contractions just nothing's happening out of it. We ready for this baby!!!!
