Do you wake baby at night??

Question

So at the hospital we were told to not wake baby when she went home at night and to feed every 3-4 hrs. My baby doesn't really wake up at night but i still feed her, ive been reading alot about moms that let babies sleep. But my pediatrician said wake baby always and feed every 3 hrs.??

My pediatrician said it was fine to let her sleep through the night. I am assuming it depends on weight gain though.

My 4 week old doesn't slept longer than 3/4 hours, so no I don't wake her.

My doctor told me the longest to let the baby go without eating was for 4 hours, then wake them up when its been the 4 hours.

Once your baby is gaining weight & past 2 weeks I don't think you have to wake them. 
I had the exact same question and made a thread & everyone told me to let him sleep 😴

I did for the first few weeks. She wakes up on her own now though at six weeks. Although she does sometimes sleep up to 6 hours at a time.

I was and then many women on this app said they don't, so I stopped.  I guess it depends how long.

It really depends on the age and if they're gaining proper weight.  At 4 weeks my LO wasn't gaining enough so I had to wake every 3 to feed but now at 8 weeks he's at a good weight where I don't have to wake him and he sleeps on average 6 hours at night.
