Who got a blood test to determine gender ?

My next appointment is when I'm going to be just over 10 weeks & since I have a family member with Downs they will be testing my blood for abnormalities & while they're at it they're going to test for gender! I'm excited, who else had this done ? Was it accurate ?

I had it done at 12 weeks and got the results one week later. It was right, I'm having a girl!

I had it done at 12 weeks, got my results at 13 and they were right! It's a boy :) I think they're like 99% accurate or something

Interesting.., I'm gonna ask to do this at my next appointment which I'll b around 13weeks due to his schedule. I hope my insurance covers the cost.

I have a cousin with down and my boyfriend also has family who has Down syndrome. Is this something that I should tell my OB? I'm a bit concerned
